I have filed ITR2 on 31.12.2021 and verified the same on 31.12.2021 and it has shown the same on portal also on dashboard. But Later I have checked the same under Income tax returns tab on 03.01.2022, It has shown ITR pending for verification and I have verified it again on 03.01.2022.
Now I wish to ask as I have verified ITR on same day i.e 31.12.2021 but due to portal errors it seems that it was not verified.
What is the last date to verify?
I hope there would be no penalties. Kindly throw some light please…
Hi @MONU_KR, the congestion and traffic around due date caused verification errors from the Income Tax Portal. You can verify up to 120 days from filing your return and there shall be no penalties if you filed your original return before the due date. If you face any other issue, would be happy to help.
