As an NRI in FY 2024-25, your rental income is taxable as per slab rates after a 30% standard deduction, with the benefit of the basic exemption limit. Short-term capital gains on stocks are taxed at 20%, while long-term capital gains on stocks are taxed at 12.5% after a ₹1.25 lakh exemption. LTCG on property is taxed at 20% with indexation or 12.5%, whichever is more beneficial.
