Hey @Raam_M,

You can claim only ₹5000 out of the amount of expense incurred as a deduction under section 80D.

Please let me know if claiming deduction u/s 80dd, disability certificate could be obtained from govt hospital or any hospital?

The below-mentioned are deemed reliable for such a certificate:

  • A neurologist with an MD in Neurology
  • Pediatric Neurologist in case of disabled children
  • A civil surgeon or Chief Medical Officer in a government hospital
