I noticed that a single share buyback transaction is reported twice in AIS – once under SFT-009 (Buyback) and again under SFT-017 (Sale of securities).
Is this a mistake? 
How should I give proper feedback for this? 
The double reporting occurs because both the issuing company (SFT-009) and the depository (SFT-017) submit separate reports for the same buyback. To resolve it, go to AIS under the e-Filing Portal, select one of the duplicate entries, and submit feedback choosing “Information is duplicate / included in other information” referencing the other entry.
