Dear All
I have a query regarding Calculation of Contribution in VPF of Basic Salary .
Presently my EPF of Rs. 1800 is contributed taking into Basic Salary of Rs. 15000 as per EPF Compliance. But otherwise my basic salary is much more.
Now I wanted to contribute in VPF also. And my office says that I can only contribute maximum of Basic Pay of Rs 15000 as per EPF Compliance.
So, pls advise if the above is correct or can I contribute in VPF depending on my actual Basis Pay drawn??
Thanks for your support.
Regards
Raj Kumar
Hi @Raj_Kumar1
Yes, maximum contribution to VPF can be 100% of Basic Salary & Dearness Allowance, if any. Hence, maximum amount that you can contribute to VPF can be 15,000 per month. Hope this is of help.
Thanks
Dear Sir,
Thanks for your feedback.
But still I would like to double clarify that which Basic Pay will be taken into consideration for calculating the Max amount of Contribution into VPF:
-
Is Rs. 15,000/- which is as per EPF compliance Minimum Wages??
-
Or Actual Basic Pay Drawn if it is more than Rs. 15,000?
Thanks and Best Regards,
Raj Kumar
