CGAS - redemption - Making an Application to AO - online?

Folks,

For funds that are parked in CGAS deposit, in order to redeem the same, one needs to make an application to the AO for the clearance letter that the bank requires.

I’d like to know, if there is a mechanism to file this application to AO online via the portal.

I understand that I can make an application through post or contact the AO through email. But I am wondering if a formal mechanism exists for submitting applications for approval closure of CGAS deposits in the income tax portals.

One needs to file Form G to the AO to redeem the amount in the CGAS deposit account.

Currently there is no mechanism to file the application of Form G online. Therefore, you could file it via post, email or physically visit the office of the AO
