Difference between Sections A3 & B in Schedule FA

I have certain shares in a foreign company how do I decide if I need to declare this with Section A3 (Details of Foreign Equity and Debt Interest …) in Schedule FA or Section B (Details of Financial Interest in Entity Held … ) in Schedule FA?

Hi @Suraj_D

If the resident individual holds U.S. equity shares, he must report it under Table A3 of Schedule FA of the income tax return.

Thank you for the quick response. I do not hold US equity shares. I hold German equity stock through our company share buy program ( esop pools). Would I still have to declare via section a3?

Apologies for the miscommunication.

What I meant was if any resident individual having any foreign holding, it should be reported in Table A3 only.
