Does a revised return automatically replaces the original return?

lf an original return hasn’t been processed, does a revised return gets processed automatically instead of the original return? Also, let’s say someone has filed form 67 for claiming foreign tax credit along with the original ITR2 and he realizes some mistakes in his original ITR2 and files a revised ITR2 does he need to submit a new form 67 to go with revised ITR2? I am not sure whether we have any option to revise Form 67.

Hey @arvi13,

Yes, the revised return will be processed. If there’s no change in the information entered in Form 67, there’s no need to make any changes to it. If there are changes, you can file the form again.

Thanks for the answer. One more query regarding proof for tax withholding. If one doesn’t have form 1042S, would the broker statement work in this case?
