Does STGC/ LTCG apply irrespective of income bracket?

My FY24 income in zero while STCG is 1.5L. Do I have to15% tax on this or do i get tax exemption as it is less than 3L ?

Hey @Vaibhav_Gupta,

If this is your only source of income then you will get the basic exemption on your STCG and hence, there will be no tax liability on the same.
