To avail deduction under Sec 80c ELSS MF units were purchased:
Purchase date: 28Mar24.
Funds deducted from bank acct on 28Mar24.
Units allotted by MF on 1 Apr24.
Question: Can deduction be claimed for FY23-24?

The date on which the payment was made is considered as the buy date. Hence, as the buy date in your case is 28th March 2024, you will be able to claim the deduction u/s 80C for FY 23-24.
