Gift deed for share transfers to Mother

Hello

I have a question about gift deed on share transfer.

Need help to understand documentation need to maintain.

  1. Does gift deed require a Notary or registration?

  2. can we write it on a stamp paper only? And not notarise it?

Hello @Invest,

Notary is generally not required but many people choose to get the document notarised because of added legal comfort.

Whereas, writing only on stamp paper and not notarizing it would be more than enough.

I want to share transfer to my Mother in Law, I am doing the transfer via CDSL Easiest.

I am selecting —> Reason for Trade - Transfer between Specified Family Member.
Which option should i select - Mother ( including stepmother )

You can select the option for Mother (inlcuding stepmother) as a specified family member.
