Form 10-IEA must be filed online through the e-filing portal before your ITR due date. The key deadlines are:
- 31 July – For original return (non-audit cases)
- 31 Oct – For original return (audit cases)

How to file Form 10-IEA?
Follow these step-by-step:

Log in to Income Tax Portal

Navigate to e-File > Income Tax Forms > File Income Tax Forms

Click on File Now next to the Form 10-IEA

Select the Assessment Year and click Continue

Click on Let’s Get Started

Select the applicable information > Continue

Confirm with Yes to proceed

The Basic Information will be auto-filled > Save

The Additional Information will also be auto-filled > Save

Enter your Declaration > Save

Review your details > Proceed To E-Verify

Select your preferred e-Verification method > Continue to submit the form

After e-verification, click Yes to submit the form

Form 10-IEA is now successfully submitted
Once you submit Form 10-IEA, you’ll receive an acknowledgement number. And when filing your ITR, you’ll need to enter:
- The acknowledgement number, and
- The date you filed Form 10-IEA
