Investing in US Stocks

Hello Team,

Could you please recommend some reputable brokers for investing in US stocks, such as Microsoft, Google, and Nvidia, that allow a direct investment? (I know about the ETFs listed in India for Nasdaq-100 and NYSE FANG+, but looking for direct investment.)

Currently, I know about Motilal Oswal, Vested Finance, and INDmoney. But, these are sub-brokers - they don’t provide full services but only a limited exposure, I can’t even set price drop alerts/triggers, and they charge a lot in terms of funds in and out, brokerage etc. (e.g., while transferring the funds into the account they easily deduct around 1.5% at least in terms of forex markup and hidden charges and similarly around 1.5% while transferring back to the Indian savings a/c). Same for the trading platform offered by HDFC, ICICI, etc.

I am thinking if, instead of using these sub-brokers who are middlemen between us and the broker firm in the US, I can directly open an account with a US broker. Can the community team guide me with some good/reputed US brokers, considering they offer a good trading platform - limit orders valid for 30 days at least, price alerts/triggers on symbol, and a cost-effective investment?

Looking for the responses!

Thanks,
AG

Indian residents can invest directly in US stocks by opening an account with global brokers like Interactive Brokers (IBKR), bypassing app middlemen for better trading tools (limit orders, alerts) and lower execution costs, though it requires managing your own LRS remittances and tax reporting
