My grandmother has not filed income tax for the past ten years as she doesn’t have any income other than dividends.
I filed for her this year as she said a fund has deducted TDS.
When I checked her 26AS, I found that there have been many TDS deductions in the past years. She was not aware of those.
Is there a way to file for those years and get the refund ?
No, since the returns for the previous years have not been filed, the TDS refunds cannot be claimed now.
