Tax on Transfer of Shares from Inter-Account

Hello Quicko,

I have transferred some shares from my one demat a/c to another demat account via depository website.

Both demat a/c are held on my own name and linked to same PAN no.

Does this inter- transfer of shares make me liable to pay any taxes under Income from Capital Gain header?

Hi @Alvin, you won’t have to pay any taxes as Capital Gains have not been realized.
