TDS correction pending AO approval

Hi all, I have a question regarding tds form 26qbcorrection. I have submitted a correction in TRACES and it is now showing status as pending AO approval. Only options I see is view/ print acknowledgement and cancel request. Could someone please help me to understand what are the next steps

Hey @Liz_Mat

While your request is under “Pending AO Approval,” you can view the details of the concerned Assessing Officer. Visit the AO’s office in person with all relevant supporting documents to facilitate the approval of your correction request.

Hi @Ayushi_Joshi , Thank you for your reply. I am an NRI . Is it mandatory that I have to visit AO office in person . I submitted the request through NRI link of TRACES site.

Hey @Liz_Mat

A relative or friend can also visit the AO on your behalf in such cases. If you don’t have anyone who can visit on your behalf, you can reach out to them by emailing contactus@tdscpc.gov.in and explain your situation.
