Unable to file audit report with new code 21010 for fno

Hi

My CA (from Quicko) says he is unable to file audit report with FNO code 21010. Says there is an error using that code for audit. Anyone else is able to file audit with that code?

Thinking of waiting till 1st Sep and filing it with some other code, if error persists.

Please help.

@janardh01 We are also awaiting an update from Income tax department regarding inclusion of new codes in Audit utilities.

We recommend you to wait for couple of weeks and it should be there updated.

Some CAs successfully filed using code 21009 (Other financial intermediation) or code 21002 (Stock broking).

Later, you can mention the specific activity in the audit report notes.

Update Utility / Software

If your CA is using offline utility or third-party software, ensure it’s the latest version. Outdated utilities often cause validation errors.

Raise a Ticket with Income Tax Portal

If none of the above works, raise a grievance under “File a Grievance” in your e-filing portal login.
