What asset type to choose in Capital gains for GOLD ETF & SGB?

Under asset type, there is an option “other ETF”. Is this the correct option to choose for Gold etf and sgb. If so, which option is appropriate for international etf/mutual funds where the holding period is 24 months to be categorised as ltcg. Secondly, I am not able to enter same day as buy and sell date. Kindly fix this.

Hey @ranjit, for international ETFs/mutual funds, first select the country and then choose the relevant Asset Type. Gold ETFs and SGBs will be selected under “Other ETF” only.

Also, same-day buy and sell transactions are treated as intraday transactions and not capital gains. That’s why the platform does not allow the same buy/sell date under Capital Gains, and such income needs to be reported under the Business & Profession head.

I imported the data directly from zerodha through the quicko import tab. It put certain transactions with same buy and sell date under capital gains but the asset type tab was not selected. Could you fix the issue so that If I delete the capital gains in quicko and reimport it again, it puts intraday transactions as business income and others as capital gains. Also, All my SGB and gold etf transactions were wrongly classified under asset type. I had to manually change them to other ETF. @TeamQuicko @Diti_Savalia
