I am a house wife. I have income from (1) house rent, (2) Fixed deposits, (3) Profit from sell of equity shares. I have brought forward losses. Which ITR I will have to fill. I tried filling up ITR-2. But as I am not able to fill up the Schedule Salary it is not getting confirmed. Please suggest.

Hi @Alok_Chatterjee

As you have no income from salary, you are not required to fill such details.

  1. Where do we show Capital Gain of Shares Transacted on US Stock Exchange (Shares like Facebook, Amazon, as such)
  2. Where do we need to show Amt received as Accumulated PF U/s. 111 (TDS deducted) - Salary Income or Other Income

A person’s income sources, taxpayer type, and eligibility determine which ITR form they should use. Selecting correctly ensures accurate filing, avoids penalties, and simplifies compliance with Indian income tax regulations.

Hi @Nirav_Shah1

You need to consider it in Schedule FA, and in case you’ve sold those share capital gain tax would be payable.

Considering the rate of exchange, for this purpose.

Schedule FA need to shown properly.
