🤔 Why your tax refund is taking longer this year? | Tax Q&A Digest #59

Hi there! :waving_hand:

It’s been a couple of weeks since the ITR filing deadline, and if you managed to submit your return on time, well done! But let’s be honest, what most of us are really thinking now is: “Where’s my income tax refund?”

This year, we’ve seen refunds move at very different speeds. Some of you received them within hours of filing, while many are still stuck with their returns under processing.

Then comes the moment of doubt while waiting, when you wonder if something’s missing or reported wrong in your return. If that’s the case, don’t worry you’re not too late. You can fix it by filing a revised ITR.

And, if you run a business or profession, there’s another clock ticking – tax audit. The deadline to submit audit report is generally 30th Sept, but it has been extended to 31st Oct this year. So it’s a welcome relief for those who need an audit.

We’ve handpicked threads on these topics in today’s edition.
